Villa Vigia - My favorite villa in Manuel Antonio

The property has a true old-world estate feel. Nice long driveway, beautiful grounds, stunning villa with big spaces and STUNNING views of the main beach and Manuel Antonio National Park (like THE post card view in the area). The outdoor living spaces are great, the pool is a nice size and well integrated to the villa and the surrounding wildlife is pretty impressive. Great staff and service and we really liked dealing with this property manager - fantastic experience top to bottom.

Villa Vigia - An amazing stay! We would stay again.

My sister and I chose Villa Vigia after a lot of searching and we are so glad, it was one of our best family vacations! Firstly. we were impressed by Nicole who patiently answered our questions prior to arrival. Once we arrived, we were welcomed by Vanessa and the whole staff and immediately fell in love with the place. The house is beautiful with lots of space, which was great with 3 kids. We spent most of our time at the house in the pool area, which had plenty of sun loungers, a big pool with toys and the view is spectacular. Just add a cocktail! The bedrooms are large with really comfortable beds. One of the things that we really liked about the house, was that you could walk to a nearby beach. We walked down several time to Besanz, it a great sheltered bay, you can rent kayaks, paddleboards and even snorkel, we saw a few fish and the kids loved it! A great stay!

Shana Residences #320 - We love this place and the monkeys!

This is our absolute favorite place to stay in Manuel Antonio. We visit Costa Rica every year with our three kids and this was our third time in a row at Shana Residences. Dr. Spivey's unit is our favorite because of its tasty decor and perfect location over the pool. It is also very well equipped with everything in the kitchen, laundry room, beach towels and toys etc. We travel a lot and mostly find our places to stay through vrbo or homeaway due to our big family. We have a few favorite places that we like to return to in different locations but have found that after a few years many of these places have experienced too much wear and tear and are not so attractive anymore. Fortunately, this is not the case withDr. Spivey's unit. They seem to be very good at updating the unit so that it always looks fresh. This time we found new sofa, fresh coat of paint on the walls, new towels etc. The staff at the Shana hotel and residences as well as with the management company are all very friendly and helpful. Thank You for letting us stay at this beautiful condo again.

Perkunas Studio - Beautiful property with authentic natural beauty!

The property is gorgeous and the staff is very helpful! Vanessa, the concierge was always on call for whatever I needed. The pool has an awesome view and has a lot of privacy. The property sits back in a gated community so you have to walk up a hill to get to the main road. If you have trouble walking then you will want to call a cab to come get you from the building. All of the shopping is right on the main strip and you're very close to everything which I loved! It's very authentic with the design. We got a chance to engage with the local animals during our stay...more than we bargained for LOL two geckos were in the room upon arrival and the next morning a monkey swung through the trees holding a banana right outside the bedroom window! We just laughed at everything because well, is IS Costa Rica! If you're looking for beauty and the real feel of nature then this is a great stay.

Casa Karma - A stunning property and superb staff

Our stay at this beautiful property was perfected by the tremendous staff. Geralyn is a knowledgeable, patient, and resourceful concierge that saw to every element of our stay and organized wonderful excursions for our diverse family. The home is set in very secure gated community upon a hill that overlooks Manuel Antonio's stunning bay and gorgeous sunsets. This home might possibly have the best sunset view in town! My children were thrilled to find monkeys, sloths, macaws, and toucans on their private balcony almost daily. The pictures are absolutely accurate. This home is all it claims to be and more! You will be as thrilled as my family was with your decision to stay there! Pura Vida!

Casa Karma - You will seriously regret not staying here!

I recently booked Casa Karma for my birthday trip to Manuel Antonio and I couldn't have made a better decision! Don was just so pleasant and accommodating throughout the entire process. However, Geralyn was like the Concierge from Heaven! I am so picky and she helped me plan my trip from start to finish! From transportation to adventurous tours to helium tanks for balloons! She was literally amazing! The staff is so friendly and sweet! And the drivers were extremely accommodating as well! I would recommend Casa Karma to anyone! Manuel Antonio was my most amazing vacation to date and that was 100% due to the Casa Karma team!

Luxury Villa & Events Venue - Perfect Trip to Punto De Vista

My friends and I came here to celebrate a bachelor/bachelorette party in November. The entire experience was incredible. The house is five star from top to bottom. The facilities are well thought out and built for events and large groups. Their is an indoor/outdoor feel that goes perfectly with the surroundings. The rooms were all incredible and no one in the group felt left out. However, the best part of the property is the staff/service. Ollie and team were there to assist with any request, even if way out of the box. HIGHLY recommended for large groups and special events. I hope I have the chance to stay here again.

Luxury Villa & Events Venue - Simply the Best

We have 4 kids (ages 10 to 20) and like to travel. It can be an expensive venture to stay in hotels and eat at restaurants for every meal. We also like to travel with friends. For many years we have rented houses (Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Grenada & many houses in US destinations) for Summer and Spring Break vacations with anywhere from 6 to 20 occupants. It’s hands down the way to travel with a group. This was THE BEST house we have every had the privilege to visit! I can not say enough! Great staff, exquisite views, luxury accommodations…….simply the best! David (house architect and owner) has recruited and retained the best staff to care for the house and guests that I have ever encountered. Oliver is outstanding. When you visit, please tell him that the “Dallas Out” crew says hello. This was an adult only trip for us during a down time with co workers. We all had the best time! We will be back!

Espadilla Beachfront Villas - Relax, rewind, rejuvenate!

We absolutely loved the condo at EOC. The staff was super helpful - Brooke and Fernando were always available to us whenever we had questions, whether it was a cab, or a recommendation for a great restaurant. All of our adventures/excursions were planned by Brooke which included our super adrenaline filled zip lining, horseback riding in the mountains and all our transfers to and from San Jose. My sisters and I chose EOC because of the separate bedrooms, the full kitchen and proximity to the beach and Manuel Antonio Park. I highly recommend EOC to those wishing to totally unplug. Be warned there is no TV but we didn't miss it a bit! Thanks for a great stay! Pura Vida Costa Rica from Louise, Annie and Tina from California and Texas.

Casa Sophia - Casa Sophia = Perfect!

Could not fault this wonderful property. I don't even know where to start!! The location is great - very accessible from Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The road is very quiet, although rather bumpy. You won't hear from the neighbours. The views are just....Wow! Each day we saw Titi monkeys (Squirrel monkeys), Capuchin monkeys, Green Parrots and various Iguanas. You can lose track of time just looking out across the trees and seeing all of the various wildlife. The house itself is brilliant. It has all the amenities, plenty of space and the kitchen is very well equipped. It feels very homely and comfortable. Plenty of space and lots of wardrobe storage. Beds are extremely comfortable. The pool area is well maintained and we enjoyed our visits from the poolside iguanas! So peaceful, the only sounds you will hear are the various wildlife in the area. Very relaxing. Vanessa, the concierge, was really helpful and offered to help us arrange tours and days out. Absolutely 5*!!

Shana Residence Penthouse #331 - Wonderful place at reasonable rate

My only complaint was that we didn't spend more time in Manuel Antonio and at the Shana Residence. The place is well appointed and the views spectacular. I recommend having a car, or you will likely want to cab, to get to most restaurants and attractions.

Shana Residences #310 - We loved your condo!!! We will be back!!!

The owners and management team were very helpful in helping us answer our questions and plan our trip. The condo is very comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has all you will need for cooking. Having our dinners on the private patio off of the living room watching the sunsets was spectacular. The location is great, near everything, but also private and quiet compared the the busy mainstream of Manuel Antonio. There is a beach right below the condo, and it is a short walk to the main beach. We will definitely book this condo for a return trip to Costa Rica!! Excellent place to stay!!

Shana Residences #322 - Lovely Place!

This condo exceeded my expectations. Lots of room, great location and amenities. We found it to be the perfect jumping off point for Manuel Antonio and the Quepos area. The manager was responsive and provided lots of information. The wildlife watching just from the patio was amazing. Evening monkey visits, morning sloths, and more birds than we could count. We will return.

Villa Vigia - A Dream Come True!

We were there to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary and it could not have been more perfect. We were looking for a home that would allow us to connect as a family but also have space and downtime on our own. Villa Vigia was beyond delightful and more than what we hoped for. The best way I can describe it is being there felt like a big EXHALE. I find myself daydreaming about that very special place and we will certainly return. The entire staff, Willy, Sonia, Vanessa were fantastic and made us fall in love with Costa Rica and its genuine warmth. We had one very minor issue with an AC remote control and, I only mention it, because Vanessa had us sorted out in a couple of hours and that is to be commended. Villa Vigia, see you soon! Pura Vida!

Shana Residences #312 - Spacious condo in beautiful location

Family of 4 really enjoyed our 4 day vacation to Manuel Antonio. This condo was exactly as advertised. Spacious. Clean. Wonderful decks with views of jungle, ocean, and pool. Easy nature walk to a wonderful beach with calm waters, coral, drinks and food on beach if wanted, but not crowded like other beaches in area. Quiet location as well, but less than 1 mile drive to all restaurants and national park. Alex was very helpful as well lining up many excursions and buying groceries for our arrival. Overall great experience. We would definitely stay again.

We loved Manuel Antonio, The condo was great and very well furnished, the Patio Furniture was very good, better then most. The pool was very good and very close. We enjoyed the food in the area, Very good. The Hi-lite was our experience with Vanessa who was our go to person for the condo. To have somebody with her passion and dedication, was a real treat, we do not see that level of service much anymore. From the tours and drivers she set us up with, to the fresh baking she brought, I must say she made this one of our best trips yet. I highly recommend this condo.

Casa de las Cascadas - Perfect Property!

I booked Casa de las Cascades for my 40th birthday and could not be happier with my decision. I travelled with 8 friends and the home worked perfectly. The house itself is architecturally stunning and very comfortable. The rooms are clean and simple and the fact that all rooms are en suite is a real plus. The house was equipped with everything we needed and although I had never been to Costa Rica before I thought the location was perfect. It was a short cab ride to restaurants, beaches, nightlife, etc. One of the best things about the house is the fact that the staff (and our concierge Vanessa) was beyond accommodating. Prior to our arrival she helped book excursions, dinners for nine, transportation, and even stocked the house with some essentials and wine. A lot of wine. Throughout the trip she was extremely responsive and helped with our many requests (ice, more wine, restaurant suggestions, etc.). Everything was completely seamless. We had a chef (Rodger) come and prepare breakfast most days and had one nice dinner at home that was great (and affordable) as well. Rodger and his team were amazing as well. Manuel Antonio is gorgeous and I can't recommend it enough. I would return to Casa de las Cascades in a second. The photos do not do justice to the views, the simple luxury of the home, or importantly the warmth of the folks who helped make my birthday so great at every point of the journey.

Villa Vigia - The property is amazin

We stayed 5 days here with 3 other couples to celebrate my 40th. The property is great and Vanessa takes care of everything for you. The house is large and very nice. The only downfall is the apartment where you have to go through the garage and laundry room to get to it. That is perfect if someone in your group wants to be a little separated. We had Cgef Roger cone twice to cook for us. The food is amazing but affordable. Overall perfect trip

Great spot for our extended family of 11. Staff was great, good location, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Easy to get taxis. Regular visits by white face and squirrel monkeys, toucans and even a sloth sighting from the pool. Saw more wildlife at the house than in the Manual Antonio national park. The beach at the national park was divine. Our first time to Costa Rica and the people were great.

Casa Vista Oceana - Vista Oceana is beautiful!

What a perfect house for our vacation! Vista Oceana accommodated our party of 16 adults very easily. We loved the views, the pool, the hammocks and the thorough comfort. We had three different kinds of monkeys visit us, along with Toucans and other gorgeous birds. Angie was attentive to our every need, which was amazing considering there were 16 of us. This home exceeded our expectations, and I will definitely recommend it to friends.

Vista Oceana is paradise from the outside to every room and area inside. The pool area is as functional as could possible be. The view is unbelievable. The staff is very attentive and never intrusive. I have never wanted to return to a place so bad. Trust me everything you want and need is inside and surrounded by the house. Bring your walking shoes and traverse the area or hop on the bus at the top of the road (50 yards) and ride where ever for 60 cents/ 295 Costa Rican coins (one way). I assure you, you will not be disappointed...PURA VIDA!

Casa Vista Oceana - Eye Candy Everywhere

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for Vista Oceana. Everything about this house, location, staff and view was spectacular. We had a group of 16 stay at Vista Oceana. From the moment we booked the house until our departure we received 5 star service. I want to first point out Angie, our concierge. She always went above and beyond our every need. She was available night and day. She was friendly, helpful and just adorable on so many levels. She went grocery shopping, set up all our excursions, transportation, private Chef, massages, etc.. Then there was Sylvia the housekeeper. She was there every morning at the same time, and was very respectful. She was friendly and to, went above and beyond. House: AMAZING!!! We had all the amenities we could ever need and Angie did our grocery shopping so we had all the food we could ever need, as well. We were close enough to the beach that we saw the sun set EVERY NIGHT from the back deck/pool, and we could hear the waves. The hammocks on the 3rd floor was a huge hit with all of us. What a view. Wild life galore. Three different types of monkeys came to visit EVERY day. They would come right up on the back deck and just hang around. They were not a nuisance whatsoever. They would visit and then be on their way. AND every morning and late afternoon we Toucans visiting us on our bedroom window sill. There are so many different colorful birds and BIG iguana’s everywhere. Restaurants/Transportation: You can get around so easily. There is a bus you can take for under a $1 where the bus stop is just 50 yards from the house or there are PLENTY of taxis available. I’m not sure what to say about the food. Everything we ate was fresh and the staff was SOOOOO friendly. There was not one bad experience. Excursions: Again, incredible. We took the Midworld Zipline excursion which was so beautiful. The staff was friendly and hilarious. Yet, strict on safety. The lunch they served was yummy. Another excursion we took was the four-trax. We saw several villages and the most beautiful landscape. We then hiked to several waterfalls through a rain forest where we even got to swim in one. Again, the staff was a lot of fun, and the lunch was amazing. The locals were all so friendly and we never once worried about safety. Every one took such good care of us. I can’t wait to go back!!!!

Casa Karma - Beautiful slice of Paradise

Our family of 8 recently stayed at this wonderful villa. The pictures on the site depict the house well and suited our family's needs for space and comfort Our concierge, Geralyn, was wonderful to work with, and was in touch with us throughout our vacation. She was easily reached before we arrived and answered all of our questions. The house is well equipped with the essentials. The beds were quite comfortable, and there was enough sleeping space for all of us. What is especially wonderful is that the sleeping area and the entertaining area are completely separate. You can put your children to sleep, and sit by the pool in the back and not disturbe them. We met Don as well, who really is a superior property manager. He really takes pride in his work, and his staff does show this enthusiasm as well Housekeeping handled the cleaning and all of our laundry, and a chef was arranged for us as well. Day trips were also arranged by Geralyn, with both transportation to and from the sites. Geralyn offered us many options of places to go to, and we were able to have everything arranged by the time we arrived. All in all, the whole experience of staying in Casa Karma was wonderful We thank all of you for making this stay truly the best vacation Hope to see you next year!!

Casa Karma - A lil' slice of tropical Heaven

Casa Karma met and far exceeded our expectations. This was our first trip to Manuel Antonio and we fell in love with this little tropical piece of Heaven. This beautiful home was in the gated community of La Reserva, located close (2 minute drive) to restaurants, bars, and beaches. It was the perfect getaway for our couples travel group. Communication with the owners was seamless and everything was ready for us upon arrival. The home was set up perfectly for each couple to have their own personal space, completely separate from the rest of the party with the common living/dining/kitchen and (where we spent most of our time) the incredible outdoor living space. Each bedroom was essentially a “master” with full bath, closets, personal a/c (to set it as ice cold as your tastes desire) and beautiful balcony. We had one of the two ocean view masters while the other 2 rooms had jungle views. Every morning I would listen to the jungle-like sounds of birds chirping and rustling in the trees and also saw toucans on our balcony furniture.. I think Toucan Sam was sending his friends to thank me for all the cereal I have purchased through the years. We took advantage of the staff that came with the home. The housekeeper did a few loads of laundry and returned the pieces folded on the bed, she was very discreet with her ninja-like cleaning skills. We would leave for 5 minutes and she would have cleaned up our dishes in the sink or drink on the counter but we rarely saw her. The chef was AMAZING. She served traditional Costa Rican fare and some of the freshest seafood I have tasted, all while watching the sunset and enjoying cocktails poolside. The owners set up a deep sea fishing trip for the guys one day, and the chef turned their fresh catch into a fabulous meal. Now to the gorgeous outdoor space… it was the icing on the cake. There was a covered area with comfy outdoor furniture that I made my “office” for the week (wifi was awesome.) Every night we ended the day in the infinity pool checking out the sunset and watching for monkeys and sloths. It was a 10/10 on the “perfect house for a group” scale.

The condo is the perfect place to stay in Manuel Antonio! Beautiful, clean, spacious! A car is definitely recommended for getting around - automatic transmission if you are a manual novice for the steep hills ;) Access to the Shana Hotel pool was great and the nearby beach is perfect for swimming (no tough waves). Alex helped us find an awesome adventure day tour with zip linning and repelling. He also drove my boyfriend to the larger beach and showed him where to rent a surf board. Casa Diamante - Awesome vacation!!

I didn't think this would be the case, but the pictures actually do not do the villa justice!!! What a great vacation we had over Christmas 2016! The house is in a beautiful setting, overlooking the Pacific and surrounded by the jungle. While you can see a lot of incredible wildlife at nearby Manuel Antonio park, we saw some of the most amazing things right from the poolside! From sloths, to 3 different types of monkeys, toucans, and a huge variety of birds ... all while floating around in the pool. There are lots of good restaurants around and a couple of small supermarkets on top of the hill. The path near the house that heads to the beach is steep (especially going back up), but it brings you to the best end of the beach where there are great waves to play in, and palm trees to relax under. I won't deny that there was a lot of walking up steep hills, but using the pools or the ocean to cool off in is just awesome! You can also avoid climbing back up to the house from the beach by catching a local bus (for 60 cents) up to the top of the hill, then walking down to the villa. We did this when we were feeling lazy :) . Chris, the concierge, was super helpful and one of the friendliest Costa Ricans you'll ever meet. I highly recommend this villa. We were a large family group, and it was nice to have this villa as our starting point for adventures in the area, and for some quality family time.

Shana Residences #310 - Beautiful condo... wonderful experience!

My friends and I (all in our 60s) stayed at Shana #310 for a week in November. We had a fantastic time! The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. Vanessa, our concierge, was helpful and was available for all of our questions and needs. She was very knowledgable about the best tours and set us up with friends of hers that do the Manuel Antonio park tour and the Rainmakers Canopy tour which we highly recommend. The pool was beautiful and very relaxing, and the nearby restaurant was convenient for breakfast, snacks, or dinner. We took taxis which only cost us $10 total per trip, and they took us everywhere in and around Manuel Antonio. We especially loved the capuchin and squirrel monkeys that visited us twice a day and the toucans that were in a tree by the pool. The only drawback was the beach wasn't as easily accessible as we expected, but it wasn't a problem because we enjoyed the pool so much, and we could see the ocean from our condo balconies. We would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend the condo to anyone. Costa Rica is a beautiful country, and the people were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Shana Residences #320 - Best Condo Rental Evert

I have stayed in may rental condos, cabins, villas and inns and this rental unit has been the best by far. It is well appointed with beautiful furniture, art work, appliances, cookware, bedding, towels and everything that makes a house a home. You would think you were in someones primary residence, and not a rental property. It has amazing views of the ocean and mountains and overlooks a beautiful pool with an infinity edge. While on the main balcony/terrace (three in all), we were able to see monkeys in the distant trees. We were a party of two couples traveling from Atlanta and this condo was perfect for us. It has a master suite and a second bedroom of almost equal size. Both rooms have king size beds, balconies and enormous on-suites.The showers are huge. The living room, dining area and kitchen were spacious and main balcony seemed to be our primary lounging spot. The kitchen had high end matching cookware, small appliances, glassware, and service ware. If cooking is not your thing, the property had an excellent restaurant, and many others in walking distance. The concierge, Vanessa was amazing. She arranged to have our condo stocked with food, snacks and beverages for our arrival. THAT is a GREAT service; no need to rush out to the local market after your ride in from the airport. Vanessa also arranged our transportation to and from the airport as well as daily excursions and taxi service. This condo unit is definitely a 5 STAR PROPERTY !

Luxury Villa & Events Venue - A Hidden Treasure!!!

In the short time I’ve stayed at the Villa Punto de Vista, I have been exposed to a shockingly breathtaking villa and view, built friendships and have received pure love and care. Aside from the most especially unique design and architecture of the Villa Punto De Vista (which I will go into detail later) I want to start by talking about the people that represent this extraordinary destination. My name is Jenny Chang, and I am the Event Director at Rock N’ Events. I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to conduct an editorial at Villa Punto De Vista. Throughout the planning journey, my associate, Alice and I have been in the greatest hands with the villa’s travel coordinator, Gloriela. Every logistical planning from my arrival accommodations to my flight plans to the island was carefully guided by our new friend Gloriela, that graciously provided her services out of love and care for my associate and I. The venue is a real treasure. I stayed in Blue Room, that is carefully angled and designed to have the most premier view of the Manuel Antonio. The room was calming and warm, not to mention, grand! A large restroom designed for two, and an open floor-planned shower with a rain shower head. When I woke up the next morning, my heart, literally skipped a beat! The glass windows were filled with the bluest and clearest ocean, greenest trees and the most magnificent view you can ever picture. Every corner of this villa is designed with such detail and perfection. I can see how much detail went into the construction and design of Punto De Vista. It’s no wonder it’s a treasure, and I am the most grateful to have had the opportunity to know of such existence in the world. I’m confident that Villa Punto De Vista will always be in my radar, and I will recommend this special treasure to every client, friend, family and acquaintance. Thank you Villa Punto De Vista for introducing me to your world, and for purely, existing!!!

Espadilla Beachfront Villas - Awesome Location with Amazing Service

Our first trip to Costa Rica and it will not be our last. We traveled with our children (ages 6 & 8) and also with another couple with two children the same ages. We stayed in villas next to one another so the families were together with enough separation and privacy if we wanted it. The splash pools were a hit with the kids as they spent countless hours playing in them before and after the quick walk to the beach out the back gates. The kids also loved the monkeys in the canopy above our outdoor shower and the sloth that was in a tree over the office. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners Shelley one morning and she gave me some background and insight into their vision when they started building the project. I always find that sort for history fascinating. The staff did a very good job keeping the property up and accommodating our needs. The real hero's of this property are Brooke and Fernando. From the upfront emails with recommendations and suggestions to clarifications on transportation, currency exchange, etc we felt very prepared for the journey. Upon arrival they provided a welcome orientation and got us settled in after a long day of travel with kids. They were very helpful throughout the stay and help make the property what it is.

Casa Diamante - What an amazing place to stay!

What an amazing place to stay! Our stay at Mern's house was ideal from the minute we walked in until the minute we left. Great views of the bay, a great swimming pool tucked near the base of the home, and plenty of poolside seating on which to fool around. The common area is great for any number of guests as well. Highly recommended!

Casa Diamante - Best place in Costa Rica!

The house is beautiful. We had a large group, and this place was perfect. It's near a great beach! We tied hammocks to palm trees, shared big beers, and surfed a lot. We visited the rainforest down the road, ate good food, went dancing, swam in the pool, etc. So fun. I'd love to be there right now. Pure Vida!

Casa Diamante - Most majestic Manor yet privileged to ever reside

This multi-storied mansion nestled into the bosom of a precipitous cliffside, each equipped with an expansive overhanging balcony and lower deck, boasted an extravagant view of Quepos in all its splendor. One could not help but feel as though they had found themselves in a cloud overlooking nature's wondrous cinema as the endless waring seas with its ever present tides clashed against the unyielding majestic tropical forest. One could readily fund themselves entranced under this cinematic siege. The balconies were formed of an architecture unlike any I had ever seen before. Each were not of symmetric formless lines abutted in such a way to make them jaggedly unnatural and angular, but were created in such a way as if the very earth itself had given rise to the fluid free flowing borders; as if each were made to accentuate the rounding cliffsides thus giving it a softness that could be achieved no other way. The inside of the Manor, with its sky high ceilings made one feel as free as one expected to feel when that very first thought of a Costa Rican adventure initially came to mind bringing with it the elation of experience yet to be had and the thring of the inevitably unexpected to come. It was a brilliant experience, in a brilliant mansion with all the amenities one could ask for, and finally, because Quepos is beautiful and its people so friendly, it will be a trip I will never forget. So if you have a chance to visit the town with its wonderful restaurants, bars, landscapes, festivities and activities; I suggest you do so without hesitation. Though the extremely reasonably priced Manor/mansion is highly sought after even during the rainy season, I implore you to do all in your power to make it your own for the duration of your stay. We could not have asked for a better experience, and that is the sincere truth.... I had little idea of what I'd be in for making my stay in Quepos, but after the brilliant experience my friends and I experienced, I would not dream of booking any other establishmen than this amazing manor. PURA VIDA!!!! Jason Slack

Amber Chambers - Loved it!

It was our first time in Costa Rica and I really wanted a view. This I got, plus a beautiful suite with lots of room for our family. We loved spending time by the pool. Close to buses, grocery stores, restaurants...we had no complaints at all. Vanessa was very helpful and available for all needs. We didn't need her often as we have family in the area who helped us as well. Don't miss the Park, zip-lining and mangrove swamp tour - all very fun. We had a few meals at Café Milagro and they were all good.

Casa Diamante - Awesome Time At Casa Diamante

When we arrived at Casa Diamante, we were greeted By Chris the Host for the week. Chris was polite, and very helpful. He showed us around the house, and gave us helpful tips on where to shop and eat. He was always at our beckon call if we needed anything, and always responded promptly and with a smile and great attitude. The house itself was simply fabulous. Four floors of with great accommodations and sleeping quarters. The upstairs living quarters were very luxurious. Spacious sitting area with a piano, large eating area, nice kitchen area, and the deck with the small pool was breathtaking. You could see the ocean from the deck. The other floors were also very nice - but the top floor was where we spent a majority of our time, if we weren't in the main pool. The main pool was also very nice, it had a great outdoor kitchen area, out door bathroom, and was very clean. We had many pleasant surprises during our stay at Casa Diamante. First was the wildlife. We were visited by Toucans every morning, we had a sloth in the front tree out by the parking area, and monkeys visited us on a couple occasions during our swims. We went to the park to see wild life, but honestly the wildlife at Casa Diamante was better and closer than anything we saw at the park. The second great surprise was the staff - they were wonderful people. I spoke about Chris and his help earlier, but we also had housekeepers during the day and a security guard at night. The housekeepers had a big chore keeping up with my family of 17 - but they came and did their job everyday, including our laundry if we needed that done. At night, we had a security guard (not that it was needed). So all in all, Casa Diamante exceeded our expectations and I would recommend it to anyone needing a larger home to house their family and friends. You won't be disappointed!

Shana Residences #320 - Best Condo Ever

Casa de las Cascadas - An Amazing House in Paradise

This luxurious residence helped us have an awesome end to an already great trip to Costa Rica. After spending 4 adventurous days in the Arenal Volcano area, we spent the last 4 days of our trip relaxing in this spacious home in Manuel Antonio. Framed in wall to wall windows, we had a perfect view from every location to see the mountains to our right, the ocean in the distance and every shade of green around us. Sunsets were spectacular! We hardly wanted to leave as it felt like a piece of paradise right there with an elegant infinity pool and the sounds of the water falling to a smaller pool below the main floor. Wildlife surrounded us with many species of birds to view such as hummingbirds, macaws, melodious blackbirds, and Tanager’s. It was common to see black iguanas, lizards and a variety of colorful butterflies. We were lucky to spot a group of squirrel monkeys climbing on a nearby powerline. The AC was a huge plus in the private bedrooms but we opened up every door and window for fresh air with cross ventilation in the main area. Our girls felt they got the best room in the house on the bottom level. It was spa-like with the sounds of the waterfall into the smaller pool outside. All bedrooms were spacious and clean. Vanessa was there to greet us answering questions, getting us food, making reservations for excursions, and kind of at our beck and call. She recommended Chef Xavier for one day to cook meals. The kids all still say this was one of the best days of our trip. They watched him prepare each delicious meal! Well worth every penny. We are ready to go back…Pura Vida!

Villa Vigia - Spectacular home, unforgettable experience

My husband and my three daughters (ages 12,10 and 7) and our family friends thought Villa Vigia was the ideal place to spend a week in Manuel Antonio. Having lived in Costa Rica over 20 years ago, I carefully researched places so as to make my return a special experience for my family, and Villa Vigia did not disappoint us. We had an unforgettable experience swimming in the gorgeous infinite pool and watching the squirrel monkeys at play, cooking in the fabulous open kitchen, zip lining through the rainforest with Safari Adventures, surfing at Manuel Antonio Beach, touring the park with Bernie (awesome guide available through Henry at front gate). With Willie at the front gate and Flaca the kind and attentive housekeeper, we felt that we were staying in a very safe home. You will love the views of Manuel Antonio. My 7 year old called it her castle and never even wanted to leave! Couldn't agree more-

Espadilla Beachfront Villas - Best bang for your buck on CR's best beach!

If you're beach bums like us, the EOC is perfect! The beach is long, soft, wide, and gorgeous. The condos are very well put together and make the most of the space available. Monkeys, iguanas, and horses roam the field leading to the beach and you'll find plenty of crabs on the beach, day and night. There's an abundance of restaurants nearby and Manuel Antonio is great hub for adventure. Make sure you go to Nauyaca Falls, my favorite adventure of our two week trip! See if they have the option available where they take you to the falls in the back of the truck. Fer and the rest of the staff go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Have them buy groceries fro you ahead of time. We stayed at 4 amazing places in CR, but if we could only choose one to go back to, this would be it!

Castillo de Amber - Great stay at Castillo de Amber!

We visited Manuel Antonio for a guys' fishing trip with 9 people. Castillo de Amber proved to be the perfect accommodations for us and I'd highly recommend it. The house was great. Views from every floor. The rooms were tidy and clean when we arrived. We loved having maid service every day. The website descriptions were very accurate, and as you can tell from the descriptions, there are 4 different units that are all joined together very well. For our group (9 single guys) it worked great, because everyone had their own living area, but the main floor dining room worked fine as a common area for breakfast and dinner. The swimming pool was great, and we made good use of it every day after fishing. It was very clean, despite the lush foliage that overhangs the patio. The property includes 4 levels with a lot of stairs, so it certainly could be a challenge for groups with elderly or disabled guests. However, the street level unit is the largest and includes the biggest kitchen, so a disabled or elderly guest could stay on that level. One of the highlights of Castillo de Amber was Vanessa, the concierge. It was such a luxury to have a personal concierge, and Vanessa was very prompt, professional and personable. She did grocery shopping, made restaurant recommendations, arranged for a taxi van, and helped us with a small issue with had with the A/C in one of the rooms. She also arranged for a private chef, which was amazing...the chef prepared breakfast each morning, and a steak dinner one night. The location for Castillo de Amber is great. It is located a short (3 min) walk to the main road in Manuel Antonio, and we walked to dinner every night. There is also a sports bar / casino that the guys enjoyed. The casino isn't much, but we played a few hands of low stakes blackjack. From Castillo de Amber, we took a 5-10 minute taxi ride to the marina, and when we went to the beach we actually took the local bus which great. I highly recommend this house, and especially Vanessa and ManuelAntonioRentalProperties.com!

Casa de las Cascadas - An excellent adventure

Our group ranged in age from 20's through "up there" and this was a perfect house for all of us. The pre-trip assistance from Vanessa was extremely helpful and made trip planning much easier (and exciting!) . The house has four wonderful suites so each group had their own space with wonderful views from all rooms. The common areas were comfortable and the infinity pool was inviting throughout the day. We cooked meals without difficulty in the equipped kitchen. Hot/cold water cooler provided, as well as basic spices and kitchen needs. Vanessa made herself available to us throughout the week and helped with shopping and trip planning. It was very easy to get cab service from the house, and there are great activities (beaches, surfing , bars, dining, national forest) within 5-10 minute drive from the house. We enjoyed lounging on the patios and taking in the beautiful views from the house. An excellent house for an excellent adventure.

Villa Vigia - Perfect getaway for two families

We just visited Villa Vigia with another family (5 kids total). What a fabulous trip! The house and property are gorgeous, and we didn't want to leave. The master bedrooms are incredibly spacious. The kids room has two double beds, and a bunk bed. The lower bunk is a queen bed, so there is a lot of room for the kids to spread out. All the rooms have beautiful views and balconies. The pool is perfectly situated, and we could watch for birds and monkeys while we were in it. A few other notes -- the kitchen is well equipped with plenty of plates, glassware, silverware, etc. for a large party, there is a washer/dryer available. The concierge arranged a chef to come cook for us. We had appetizers, cocktails(adults) and smoothies(kids) out on the poolside patio. The large dining room table accommodated us all for a delicious sit down dinner. It was very relaxing, especially since we didn't have to clean up. The house is in a great location for activities such as canyoneering, mangrove kayaking, a tour of the Manuel Antonio park, and surfing. The concierge helped us arrange the activities. Transportation to/from and usually lunch was provided with the activities. Villa Vigia is a special property that harmonizes with its lush surroundings.

The house is lovely and the setting is the rainforest. How wonderful! Our stay was made much better by the service we received from our concierge and the rental company who were most helpful. We had asked for a Christmas Tree and Patricia produced a large beautiful tree which was so unexpected. The house was ready and fully stocked with the items we requested so when we arrived from the airport we felt like we were home. The swimming pool was the perfect temperature and at night the place is magical. It's a great house for a family getaway, a romantic interlude or a group of friends on a vacation.

We loved Casa Sophia. I was there with my husband, our 10 month old and my in laws. The layout of the house is great (especially if you have young children or are with older adults). It's absolutely beautiful in person (and spotless). The pool and pool deck were very nice. We had daily visits from the monkeys, and there was a sloth outside of the living room on one of the trees as well. Aside from this being a wonderful place to stay, Vanessa from Manuel Antonio Properties was fantastic to work with from before we arrived to during our stay. Castillo de Amber - A dream!

I had the pleasure of staying at Castillo de Amber this year when my family and I traveled to Manuel Antonio for a week. Loved it! My parents stayed in Amber Chambers--the upper level--while we stayed in Jurate Suite, and my brother and his fiancee stayed in Kastytis Court, the 1-bedroom place. The property had everything we wanted--a big pool, ocean views, and a central location which made it easy for people to get around. We really liked the pool area, which is complete with a kitchen and a grill. Highly recommended!

Castillo de Amber - Perfect fit.

Castillo de Amber is one of those places that works perfectly for certain groups--namely, those that want separate, lockable, independent spaces for different parts of the family. Each apartment has a kitchen, which is nice because it allowed us the freedom to either cook and dine together, or separately, as happened on a couple of occasions. Mostly, we got together in the pool area, where there is a fridge, sink and barbecue grill (and a stereo, I might add). It was an easy walk to our favorite restaurants--Agua Azul, Byblos, Cafe Milagro, etc. You can get a bus to the beach for under $1, and it takes just 5 minutes. I would recommend this place for groups of friends of large families who want to be central, and have independent spaces.

My partner and I stayed here in July and had a great time. The apartment is part of a larger villa with 4 apartments--but is small enough to feel like a B&B, and very private. The views are spectacular, and the pool area is ideal. We spent the majority of the time lounging around the pool (there's a fridge, bbq grill and sink there), listening to Manuel Obregon on the stereo--very relaxing!

In May I stayed at Kastytis Kourt with my wife and 10-year old son. It was a great place to stay, and had everything we needed--ocean views, a central location, huge pool, and plenty of tranquility. The pool & pool kitchen are shared--but rarely did we see anyone there, and when we did it led to pleasant conversation. I'd certainly bring my family back to stay there again!

Super! My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Manuel Antonio at a lovely 2 brm condo at a relatively small place surrounded by rainforest with a 90 degree balcony looking west toward the beach and ocean and south toward more ocean and rainforest. The concierge was wonderful and met us right away. He also knew all about the various tours and recommended those according to the best and reliable outfitters. He also helped to pick the best tours for me (I've had a debilitating Illness). We enjoyed the catamaran and mangrove tours. We saw a lots of wildlife everyday; 3 kinds of monkeys, lizards, beautiful birds who made lovely music, heard toads and frogs too. We ate fresh seafood at five different great restaurants , I forget the names but ask the concierge. Biesanz beach was a short 10 minute walk. Everything was well maintained and clean. I highly recommend Manuel Antonio Rental Properties. I plan to use them again in the future. This was my best birthday present ever.

My family and I luckily choose this house for out first adventure to Costa Rica. We were in search of beautiful views and privacy to get away. This house is in a great location, far enough of the main road for the peace and quiet, yet close enough to get to Manuel Antonio or Quepos easily. The house is spacious and set up for lots of privacy through out the house. The views are amazing of both ocean and mountains from every balcony. Jonathan helped us set up an ATV tour, zip lining, spa services and our family favorite Carlos the chef to prepare meals from the home. Carlos was excellent and we highly recommend!! He would quickly prepare whatever we requested, we enjoyed every meal we had. You can't go wrong with this house, we definitely plan to return!

Casa Sophia - Great house in a great setting!

Loved this place. Super comfortable house with all of the amenities and a great feel. Even nicer than the photos. Sitting areas abound, tastefully decorated, all bathrooms are ensuite, little details provided (laundry soap, coffee, tea and even bug spray - which by the way wasn't necessary in the dry season), kitchen super usable and well supplied (yes, as others have commented, the dishes are high (we saw this in other houses in Costa Rica too) but it allows a window at the sink with great views of the monkeys in the trees, we just put our dishes in the pantry to make it easier - plus the maid had set the table so many of the dishes were already down anyway). The really great thing about this place, aside from it being a great house with a nice refreshing pool, is that you see more animals while relaxing at home than we did at the Manuel Antonio Park and Rainmaker Park! Titis (endangered squirrel monkeys) came by (20-40 of them), even several babies clinging to their mommas, every morning and many evenings, we also had visits from capuchin monkeys, coatimundis, iguanas, motmots, and other beautiful birds. This helped make our trip spectacular. Jonathan, from the property management company, was awesome and very helpful when we needed it. We had a couple of hiccups and he handled them graciously and quickly. He also booked excursions for us at the same price as booking yourself yet we in no way felt pressured to book through him. The information was simply there with his phone number - call if you need his services, or not. Great place!

Kastytis Kourt - First time to Costa Rica!

My husband and and I visited Costa Rica for our first time, and I spent many hours planning this very special trip. Our first stop was Manuel Antonio. Heather responded to my inquiry within an hour, making my planning so much easier! I was delighted when she told me the apartment was available for our dates, which was very lucky since it was one of the busiest times of the year! MY husband and I cannot say enough good things about Kastytis Court! Upon arriving from the airport, Heather greeted us warmly at the house to help us get oriented, which didn't take long, we melted right in! The accommodations are just beautiful, brand new, sparkling clean, and was an amazing welcome to Costa Rica! The pool was a place we used to unwind from our day to day life at home, and again, that didn't take long! The house is surrounded by lush tropical foliage, the view is perfect, and even though you are a couple minute's walk from town, the sense of privacy was there. It was a very close distance Manuel Antonio Parque Nacional, where we spent an entire glorious day, delighting in coming back to our apartment and pool. Heather was there on the day we departed, again greeting us cheerfully. I asked if we could see the other two apartments, which were larger, absolutely gorgeous and could accommodate my whole family! We would absolutely return to this wonderful house, the sooner the better. Thank you Heather, I still have one foot in Costa Rica, and I've been back for almost two weeks!

Stayed here very comfortably with eight family members. Enough space to enjoy time together and have space to relax on your own. Watched a beautiful sunset over the water every evening, some while sitting in the pool and watching the monkeys that came by the house some days. Had the house cleaned by great staff and having the evening meals prepared by staff was quite a treat. Location was excellent to be close to the parks, beach, and other attractions in the area. Very quiet and well maintained grounds surrounding the villa. Saw monkeys, lizards, toucans, macaws, parrots, and other animals daily.

Espadilla Beachfront Villas - Great Vacation Rental Option in Manuel Antonio!

I run a travel agency and have been booking vacation rentals and hotels in the Manuel Antonio area for my clients for years, and when EOC was recently built, I was happy to see a luxury vacation rental option for my clients that is steps away from Manuel Antonio's famous beach, Playa Espadilla. The artistically designed villas at EOC (themed as Water, Fire, and Air) are unique and colorful, and are a great option for couples, families or small groups of friends, as each villa has two bedrooms, equipped kitchen and private splash pool. And one of the best things about EOC are the owners and hosts, Bobby and Shelley, who can help arrange tours, activities and order groceries from the local store up the street. I recently sent a family to stay at EOC and they had a wonderful time and experience, and looking forward to sending more of my clients to EOC in the near future.

Casa de las Cascadas - first stay hope to return

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we feel like we hit the jackpot!! It didn't take long to transition from our fast-paced Washington DC home to this magical and enchanting property. Each morning we woke to the sounds of tropical birds and beautiful vistas. We dipped in the pool throughout the day while gazing at the ocean on the and watching for the resident sloughs and white-chinned monkeys. We were there with two other couples and stayed in the apartment which was fully equipped with a small kitchen, gorgeous tiled bathroom, and beautiful native wood walls. We loved the privacy and could easily join our friends in the main house ( 30 second walk to house door). We felt pampered and had everything we needed. The main house is spectacular - all the rooms were spacious and luxurious. The living and dining rooms are totally glassed allowing constant views of the landscape and ocean. The pool just off the living room is amazing and a popular gathering spot. How glorious to dip in and jump out to the recliners and look at the ocean view or just stay in the water and soak up the sun. In addition to the main pool off the living, there is a smaller pool with a waterfall just outside one of the bedrooms and is accessible thru the sliding doors. It is great for late night dips to relax and unwind. The beaches, stores, restaurants, grocery stores and coffee houses are just down the hill via a nice walk or short car ride. Kent and Estella, the property managers, were very accommodating and helped us plan excursions (zip lining, vanilla farm (great!) and hikes to waterfalls). This is a wondeerful property and we look forward to a return visit.

Shana Residences #322 - Great location and accommodation!

We stayed at this condo for a delightful, refreshing vacation. It is a lovely stroll down to Biesanz beach (bring beach shoes) and a short drive to Manuel Antonio park, which is a spectacular beach for swimming and playing. We ended each beach day with time swimming at the pool, and even met new friends there. Mornings were spent watching the birds with coffee in hand and bird guide on the table. Even though it is not a private property, like a house, you certainly have plenty of privacy with the way it is laid out, and it being an end unit, next to the trees. There are plenty of dishes and everything you need to prepare your own meals, which we like doing, at least for breakfast and snacks. We are a family with three kids and there was room for all of us- though, I wish the sleeper sofa were not in the master bedroom. We had our kids use the master and we used the guest room. The pool is maintained well and the lounge chairs and beds are a relaxing way to watch the sky, the sun, the moon and stars. If you are looking for an easy, accessible, relaxing and reasonably priced place to stay in Manuel Antonio, then this is a great option.

The entire experience with this rental was amazing and I would recommend this listing to anyone who is looking to travel to Manuel Antonio. First, Heather is truly an exceptional point of contact. She was very flexible with our arrival and departure time. She is quick to respond to email and it was easy to work with her on booking, arrival and departure. The unit itself is ideal for 2 couples which was our situation. Each couple had their own private room with full bathroom but there was also a common area by the master bedroom and a shared kitchen. We didn't utilize the common room much but the kitchen had all the utensils needed for cooking. We spent the majority of our time on the balcony which spans the length of the unit and has AMAZING views of the jungle, ocean and coast. We spent about an hour watching monkeys bound from tree to tree in the jungle below. The pool is clean and comfortable with an amazing view of the jungle below. When we weren't at the beach we were at the pool! There are plenty of small restaurants in the area and some are within walking distance. We had a rental car so we were just a couple minute drive away from the main beach as well as Manuel Antonio National Park. The town of Quepos is a few minutes away as well which has grocery stores, gas, etc. If you're going to stay here I'd recommend having a rental car for easy access to the surrounding areas. There was a house keeper than came each day we were there except for Sunday. She cleaned the units and did laundry which was a huge help. The only suggestion I had for this place was a BBQ for the pool area but while we were there Heather informed us that the BBQ would be purchased after we left. Adding a BBQ to the unit makes it the complete package as it already has powerful wifi. Amazing unit in an amazing part of the country. Would recommend it 10 times out of 10 for anyone looking for an ideal living space during their stay.

Casa Sophia - Excellent Family Vacation Home

Case Sophia was our home for 10 days while on vacation in Manuel Antonio - We were four adults and three children. The house was so perfect. We loved the open plan of the expansive bottom floor with tranquil views of the jungle. The two ground floor bedrooms were private and well appointed each with their own bathroom A/C and access to the lanai. My husband and I slept in the upstairs master suite. The room is incredibly spacious with large walk in closet and beautiful master bathroom - plus a separate den which we used as an attached bedroom for our baby. After a day of frolicking in the jungles we looked forward to a family dinner, tucking our 2 boys into bed and soaking in the huge jacuzzi bath with sweeping jungle views. The house was practical, comfortable and even romantic. Jonathan went above and beyond for all our needs. He was always accessible by phone and took care of every concern promptly. When I had an unexpected emergency room visit, Jonathan picked me up at the hospital and brought me back to Casa Sophia. He has a huge heart, is honest and great at his job. I highly recommend this super lovely whom to anyone lucky enough to experience it!

Villa Vigia - WONDERFUL

This house is everything you see and more... We went as a family of 9! 5 adults and 4 kids. The house is set up wonderfully and Jonathan, our concierge was on point! He arranged everything for us. All we had to do was call and he lines it up. We even lined up Horseback riding and hour before we wanted to leave. I will say a car is useful. Also, the house is set up as two master suites (to die for) and one "kid's" the 4th bedroom is usable but not at all part of the house... We actually didn't use it at all because we felt like it was sending someone away. but the rest of the house was plenty large for our group. Jonathan located us a chef "willie" and he was awesome. after a day our playing, it was so great to come home and have a great meal and not have to round up the crew and leave! All arounf FABULOUS experience!

Shana Residence Penthouse #331 - Great Stay, Lovely Condo

This penthouse has a great floor plan for a large family or two couples with kids as two of the three bedrooms are large master suites with porches off the bedroom, great for morning coffee and bird watching. The condo was very well equipped for cooking. Our only complaint was they needed more coffee mugs and some real wine glasses as every glass was plastic. Great location, 10 min walk to the beach. You need to rent a car here as the hills are steep. Jonathan our concierge had great suggestions that we tried and enjoyed. Having the amenities of the hotel (use of he pool, etc) was great. The Shana restaurant is spendy and the food is not great, best to go elsewhere.

Castillo de Amber - Wonderful place for vacation

I wanted to thank you for a wonderful, family vacation. Your home was amazing, from the spectacular ocean view to the first class service we received from the friendly and helpful property managers, to the creative housekeeper with her towel sculptures, and flower arrangements. Our children had the time of their lives, spending hours in the swimming pool! Most mornings we were greeted by the curious monkeys in the bamboo tree. It was absolutely fantastic watching them jump from tree to tree. A great place to stay! I highly recommend this house for families, or couples alike. It was centrally located and a quick drive to the beach. We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, as well as being able to walk to nearby restaurants. We can’t wait to return.

From every bedroom there is a beautiful ocean view. Castillo de Amber is located close to the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park. It's an excellent place to rest and also close to the heart of Manuel Antonio. I would recommend this place to everyone. Rafal & Elizabeth

Los Elementos: Villa del Lago - Perfect Honeymoon Getaway!

My wife and I stayed at Los Elementos Villa del Lago on our honeymoon, and it surpassed our expectations. The gardens are immaculate--something out of Bali, which fits perfectly in with the Costa Rican rainforest. The staff was great and friendly. We did some things I'll never forget in my life--Nauyaca waterfalls, diving at Cano Island. I highly recommend this place to any honeymooners! (Or any adventurous couple, for that matter...)

Shana Residences #320 - Exceeds All Expectations!!

This condo and its offerings exceeded every expectation from the minute we arrived! The pictures do not do it justice. The complex overlooks the pacific and it’s lush surrounding and is part of the Shana Hotel area. Condo guests have full access to the hotel amenities including the infinity pool, 24/7 security, parking and hotel concierge. We traveled as a family of five (2 parents and 3 twenty + year-olds) and had plenty of room for all! Besides the deck off each bedroom, the main living area has a larger deck to enjoy morning coffee or the evening sunset. All the furnishings are high-end; stainless steel, granite, travertine tile, wicker furniture, etc. The king beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows. There was also plenty of bath & beach towels! The condo has the best selection of kitchen items including glassware, utensils, paper products, etc. We rented a car and drove most nights for dinner, there’s also plenty of taxis. I personally would not walk the winding road at night. Manuel Antonio has fabulous restaurants encompassing all monetary levels. There is so much to do in the area; a week was not enough. Favorite tours – Vacation Buggy (rainforest/waterfall), Midworld (ziplining) and Manuel National Park were favorites. The condo is not beach front, but Biesanz beach is well worth the 10+ minute walk. We had too much stuff one day and found easy parking by the road gate. The beach is actually a cove which is secluded and your own piece of heaven. We enjoyed it on two different days and each time there were only 20 or so people there. It’s out of movie! The owners and condo managers were wonderful to deal with and were available and willing to answer questions and give advice on the area, tours and restaurants. We booked all our tours though Nicole (property manager/Nicole (property manager/concierge) who was a joy to work with!! She met us upon our arrive and stopped to say goodbye. The owner, David contacted us upon our arrival and return. Not sure what more you could - we would recommend to anyone! Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

VP Private Resort (9 Bedrooms) - Personalize your vacation

The VP Resort is truly a lovely resort with large indoor and outdoor living areas that comfortably accommodated large dinner parties or small card games. The view of the Pacific Ocean is spectacular and even more beautiful when the sun went down. Furnishings, electronics, air- conditioning and amenities were all to our standards or better. For me what truly sets VP Resort apart is that this is a personal vacation that my husband and I got to share with 14 of our friends. The chef was there to please us with fabulous meals, housekeeping comforted us with clean rooms, the gardener surprised us with fresh coconuts and star fruit, the night security kept us feeling extra safe. The concierge was available if needed. The location is primo in that the bus stop, taxicabs, grocery store and excellent restaurants are a short walk from the resort. There are so many excursions to take advantage of we were wishing we had more time. We loved our time at VP Resort and would do it again!

Shana Residence Penthouse #331 - Convenient, laid back luxury

The husband and wife team of manager, Kent, and concierge, Estela were fantastic. I spent more time working with Kent prior to our arrival getting the lease and other details taken care of. Throughout the process he was great answering any questions/concerns I had promptly and thoroughly. He is very customer oriented. Estela, met us promptly at the Penthouse with the keys and showed us the "ins and outs" of the property. She then provided us with the lay of the land concerning places to eat, drink and swim; she knows it all and is a real professional. Check out was quick and easy. Everything about this couple shows the care and work they put into their properties. It was a joy working with them. The property itself is remarkable. The setting is laid back and peaceful yet within 15 minutes of everything. I’d recommend bringing walking shoes because the hills around can be daunting. The centerpiece of the property for us was the floor to ceiling windows/doors that really brought the outside in. With views of the Pacific and the surrounding rain forest from every room there was always something going on. If not the Capuchin monkeys playing curiously in the nearby trees (or on the balconies) then it’s the Howlers heard nearby yet, virtually unseen moving through the canopy like ghosts. The penthouse has nearly all the amenities one could hope for from stylish plates, soft linens and plenty of towels, even the all important corkscrew. Having a washer/dryer was really a nice feature too. The furniture is relaxed and comfortable. The beds are very sleepable with comfy linens and pillows. We were traveling with our 19 and 21 year old children and the 3 large bedrooms provided enough of an escape that everyone could get moments alone as needed. All in all, the penthouse was very relaxing and comfortable. Having access to the amenities at the Pacific Souss, was another real plus. Its pool area is very clean, relaxing and comfortable. Hard to find much to complain about.

My family and I took a trip to Manual Antonio for my husband's 50th bday. The condo was beautiful and Nicole did a fabulous job in helping us prepare for the trip answering all of our travel questions before we got there and helped us plan our tours. Once we arrived Nicole also helped us arranging transportation, selecting restaurants, tours and everything you could image! She did a fabulous job. I would totally recommend this condo and touring the parks, secluded beaches, zip lines and if your brave do the waterfall rappel! Nicole really works hard to make your trip fabulous!

Casa Sophia - Talk about a relaxing home..

This is such a lovely home. The kitchen is roomy and provided everything we needed. A short walk to the grocery store is just that, a short walk. The mattresses in all bedrooms were not old at all. The beds you could tell were newer mattresses and very comfortable. Just everything about the home was nice, open and comforting. The pictures of the home and views are very accurate. The deck has a nice view of the ocean at a distance and the forest just below. Every day and I do mean every day, monkey were visiting. We had Tiki and White Face monkeys. One monkey even watched my son swim in the pool as it curiously watched while sitting on the rail. Also, I do want to point out something very important: my son came down with two very bad ear infections. Kent and Estela were so very helpful with referring me to a Dr. I can't began to thank you enough for the help you provided and driving us there. Thank you so very much. My son was in so much pain and the Dr. was able to see us late in the evening and we would not have been able to fly out had it not been for your help. Now, would I stay here again, absolutely. This was our second visit to Costa Rica and I would trust Kent and Estela with another vacation rental. They really go above and beyond.

Shana Residences #320 - Absolute paradise!!!

There are not enough incredible things I can say about David, the beautiful condo, his fantastic property management team, and the very unique town of Manuel antonio. From the time you arrive, you will not be disappointed. We were greeted with a fresh arrangement of local fruit and a printout of tips and pointers for all things not to be missed. Estella prepared a detailed itinerary and answered any questions we had in regards to restaurants, local beaches, excursions, and more. The condo is situated on a mountain with million dollar views and is in close proximity to a private beach.Inside, it is well-appointed with any amenity you could ever need (from wine openers to luxurious robes to beach gear-they have considered everything!). Manuel antonio is a very special place to say the least, it has something for everyone. From ziplining and aTV tours, to hiking in the National Forest and leisurely sunset cocktails-it truly has it all. I have traveled to many different places and countries and I would be remiss not to notate the receptive culture of the Ticos (people of Costa Rica). All who we came in contact with were equally warm and inviting. This is truly an exceptional place. We have been back to the states for a month and reminisce about it almost daily. We are already planning our return for next year!! Thank you David, for sharing a little piece of heaven with us, we are so glad we decided to visit!

Casa Paraiso - “Costa Rica really is paradise!”

With only a couple of exceptions, our trip to Costa Rica and Casa Paraiso was just perfect! We loved the Vacation Buggy to the beautiful waterfalls and suspension bridge. The zip-line was a thrill for everyone, as was the mangrove tour, especially for our monkey lovers! All of the tour operators, from drivers to naturalists, were very knowledgeable and helpful. They were there to make our experience everything we hoped it would be. I'm not sure that lunch is always necessary after an activity. Some of the lunches were not special, and we might have preferred to make our own arrangements. Our home and all that it offered - swimming pool, kitchen, lovely bedrooms, location and proximity to activities - couldn't have been any better. The back patio was great for storm-watching, bird viewing, and monkey visits (which entertained our grandchildren no end!). All of our transfers were handled smoothly, and your representatives took excellent care of us! It was a fabulous vacation! - Sarah H., Texas, USA

Best place to rest and recharge or get out and have some fun! We spent a week here and did both! The house was beautiful, relaxing, and very comfortable. Plenty of sun and shade - whatever you want. The views are fantastic. The management company did an outstanding job of setting up any activity that we wanted which included kayaking, sunset cruise, zip-lining, and nature walk. There is a book of restaurant information and happy hours which was very helpful. The surrounding area had excellent restaurants and the people were very friendly. We cant wait to go back!

Shana Residences #310 - We will be back!

We were so excited to have the oppertunity to stay with our daughter, son in-law and granddaughter in this Beautiful "Home" (Condo)...Our daughter and family live in Escazu, Costa Rica and have stayed here in David's Condo "The Oceans" several times. We have stayed in other condo's in Manuel Antonio and Jaco... This Condo is by far our "Favorite" Everything that is said o nthe description of the condo is so true and is even more beautiful than the photo show. Everything you will need is in the home (condo). I must say the only negative thing I have to say is, "there should be a better way to get to the pool area...a very steep hill the walk down and it is even harder to walk back up. This can be difficult for older people. Great restaurant on the property and also near by. Grocery store has everything you need and not bad prices for the area. We recommend this property to "All" ...also very clean. I might add the entertainment from the Monkeys far exceeded our expectations. Once again, "We loved the Condo"

VP Private Resort (4 Bedrooms) - Fantastic gorgeous mansion!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Villa Pelicano! 19 of us from southern California (5 families) stayed in this wonderful dream mansion for a week, which wasn’t nearly long enough! The six bedrooms were perfectly suited for us and the kids’ room was such a bonus! 1 king and 2 queen beds plus lounge chairs and bongos made for a perfect room that the kids really enjoyed. The 4 master bedrooms on the main floor were each beautifully decorated and were a luxurious treat with their own private baths and air conditioning. But our favorite part was the big open living room opening out onto the incredible balcony with more couches and chairs and a big long dining table that was perfect! It overlooks the pool and the ocean and the beautiful sunset! With a cold coco loco at the end of the day, it was heaven! The staff is amazing and so friendly. Our rooms were cleaned to perfection every day and they even did our laundry! Having a personal chef there was a mothers’ dream with 10 kids with us! And make sure to ask Kenneth to take you around the grounds. He’s the wonderful gardener and loved to point out the monkeys, toucans and sloths and even hacked open coconuts for us! Thank you, Villa Pelicano, for the most memorable vacation we’ve ever had!

Shana Residences #320 - Indulge Your Senses and Pamper Yourself!

While "a picture paints a thousand words" may be true, the photos on this site (while very helpful) cannot begin to describe the warm, luxurious and comfortable condo that awaits you! As accurate as the descriptions were, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the condo, the spaciousness and the careful attention to detail provided by the owners for their rental guests. Hospitality is reflected in every inch of this condo. David was very helpful in sending information before I began my week-long stay. However, upon opening the front door to the condo and seeing the incredible view, I stood speechless and in awe of the beauty. The setting overlooking the Pacific is at once breathtaking as it is calming. The view from any of the three balconies is mesmerizing -- I found myself drawn to it time and time again, and spent hours simpy relaxing on the balcony above the rainforest and beaches below. Every morning at sunrise, I was greeted by the lively sights and sounds of nature awakening: many species of birds, playful cappuchin monkeys, and the gutteral barks of howler monkeys. The handsome 2-bedroom unit met every expectation: extremely clean, fine furnishings and local Costa Rican art, extremely comfortable beds and linens, a fully-furnished kitchen (even plastic wine and margherita glasses that you can take poolside), a small library of guidebooks and reference materials on Costa Rica -- honestly, it was much more than I anticipated. Adjacent to a hotel/restaurant and sharing a wonderful infinity pool, this property is one to which I would return without question! Sun, sand, ocean and as much or as little as you would like to do awaits you at Manuel Antonio. Estella is so helpful in making recommendations and arrangements for any excursion or activity -- from guided tours in the National Park to dinner reservations at one of the amazingly delicious restaurants in the area (Arenas del Mar was one of my favorites and the Sunset Cruise from Puerto Quepos that includes snorkeling, lunch and dolphin watching is exceptional). My only regret is that I didn't stay TWO weeks rather than one. But given my pleasant experience on this trip, I know that I will be returning to this condo again and again. I recommend it highly -- you won't be disappointed in the least!

What a great retreat ! Villa Pelicano was our private resort for three families ( 3 couples and 8 kids ) during winter break. After a busy day at the beach, on the zip line, on bikes, or hiking, it was an amazing feeling to come back to our own private setting for a swim, a message, a sunset toast, and finally an amazing dinner prepared by our very own chef. It was also wonderful to just relax by the pool, or enjoy a good book in a garden setting. The home is large enough that everyone could find their own space when needed. We will be back !

Shana Residences #320 - Condo Paradise

With a view like a moving painting, luxury to the finest detail and the most special attention from Estela, the concierge, your stay at The Ocean #320 only has one disadvantage: you won't like your home the same when you return. The condo is fully equipped to let you have a vacation experience that lacks and lets you miss nothing from an actual home. The rooms in the house are all beautifully decorated and have all the commodities you can require including very comfortable beds to have the sleep you expect from a holiday. The living areas are also perfectly enjoyable, and breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea and the occasional boat soaring across it, all framed behind the lovely trees of the forest that covers the Manuel Antonio hills, will completely redefine your concept of morning meals. All in all, this is absolutely the place to go. Kids and adults will both enjoy the pool and the proximity to the beach, only a small bus or car ride away, and everyone will have the time of their lives. Bottom line, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place cause it simply is Condo Paradise. Make a choice now and be a witness of it too. You won't regret it. Promise!

Our stay at Villa de Agua was saturated with luxury and relaxation from the moment we arrived. Greeted by an uber attentive staff with fresh coconut water and icy cool towels, our travel tension melted away and two weeks of lux pampering began. As we were given a tour of the house, the attention to detail was evident from the start but as our days unfolded, it seemed that we were experiencing certain areas of the property for the first time. Our room was exceptionally spacious (We were in the main floor Master Suite) and had everything we could need for the two weeks we were there: complimentary beach bags, sarongs for the ladies, and a fully stocked mini fridge. The butler arranged for our every whim and fancy: massage, kayaking tours, fabulous chef cooked meals and great lazy days at the beach. The decks and terraces are so spacious that we practiced open air yoga every morning followed by tropical fruit smoothies to die for. There were six in our group all with differing interests. Some were happy to never leave the property and there was no reason to! others more adventurous, explored the jungle and local towns. There is plenty of great dining in the area and near by Manuel Antonio offers spicy night life. the house has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking in , breakfasts and lunches etc. A few of my favorite memories: toucans in the trees, outdoor showers, chela the property dog ( so sweet), fresh guanabana, blue butterflies, perfect sand dollar on the beach, the mattress ( sooo comfortable), orchids every where, margaritas!, afternoon nap in the palapa, perfect sunsets, perfect sunsets perfect sunsets every day! I know this is a gushing review but our stay was so incredible I cannot think of a negative issue. I have never returned from a holiday so relaxed and fulfilled. We are already planning how we can get back there next year.

This was a journey to a world that could never be replicated in this life. It is a masterpiece which fills the soul with tranquility, serenity and unparalleled wonder. Whether I was watching the sunset in the Pacific, or listening to the sounds of nature, I felt that it was mine alone, to gaze upon and revel in Nature's bounty. The bedrooms and guest quarters were constructed to provide maximum privacy for each member of our group with views to the north, south and west and a private balcony for each. Bathing in the negative edge pool at sunset, or under the stars as the evening ended will remain with me always. In 68 years of life, I have never had such a magical experience The staff is warm and friendly and only there to make sure your every moment is one to remember. Jorge, the House Manager, catered to our every whim and made our stay even more memorable. The views are magnificent of the rainforest and ocean. You really experience the environment up close, with the exotic birds, monkeys and iguanas right outside the house. There is so much to do--or not in our case--we lazed by the pool during the day and experienced the local restaurants in the evenings. A perfect retreat!

Casa Sophia - Great place!

Casa Sophia has the most amazing panoramic views overlooking Manuel Antonio and out to the Ocean. It has its own private pool and sun deck. There was so much to do, a beautiful beach, animals at your doorstep, zip lining, white water rafting, fabulous restaurants, etc. Paradise pales in comparison with this retreat. We will most definitely come back!

Casa Sophia - Great home, great price!

Casa Sophia is the most beautiful accommodation--everything you could wish for! It also has awesome views, and birds and momkeys galore. The local restaurants were so varied in style and cuisine and all the ones we visited were great, and what friendly receptions we got. If you want the best on the Pacific coast in Costa Rica, this is it. My family had a great week, and we all voted this the best holiday ever!

Casa Sophia - Huge Jacuzzi!

Words can really not describe the stunning beauty of Costa ica and our stay in Casa Sophia! This is a one of a kind experience. There is not a single thing that can be improved. This part of Costa Rica is stunning and a truly special place. The views, the animals, and the stunning sunrises across Manuel Antonio from the bedroom window... So much to do and so close by. What a fantastic huge Jacuzzi!
